Glynn Vivian Offsite Activities This Summer
Come and enjoy the free family workshops, films and artist talks with Glynn Vivian Offsite this summer at the YMCA.
Films
The Glynn Vivian Young People’s Group for 15-21 year olds continue to screen their selection of ’12 films to watch before you grow old’ on Tuesday 30 July from 2.00pm at the YMCA Swansea, as they present the classic Back To The Future Trilogy. No booking required, free popcorn.
 

Children’s Workshops
Visit the YMCA for family activities this August. Create a pug dog puppet, build futuristic gadgets from recycled materials or design your very own travel diary inspired by Richard Glynn Vivian journeys across the world. Workshops take place Tuesday 6 – Thursday 8 August, 11am – 4pm. Booking essential.

Talks
Art historian Barry Plummer will be looking at the tradition of figurative art and the Gallery collection in our Community Café on Thursday 15 August from 5.30pm at the YMCA.
 

The current Artist in Residence, Gemma Copp, will be at the YMCA on Friday 16 August at 12pm to talk about her recent projects and her practice.
 
 
Exhibition
Head down to the Civic Centre, Swansea to see artworks created by members of the Glynn Vivian 55+ adult art class, inspired by the Gallery’s collection. Free exhibition continues until Monday 19 August.
