‘Swansea Your Story’ will have a display at Sketty Library from the 13th to 19th of October entitled ‘Dylan’s Swansea.’
The Swansea branch of the Historical Association will be hosting an event, exhibition and film ‘Stalin, Hitler and Mr Jones’ on Saturday 18 October 2014 at the National Waterfront Museum.The film will start at 11am.
Also hosted by the local branch of the Historical Association this month, ‘Local History Live!’ will take place on Saturday October 18th at the National Waterfront Museum. Talks and stands will be open from 10.00 am-4.00 pm.
On Tuesday 21st October, led by Blackpill Local History Society from 10 am at Vivian Hall, Ivor Williams will talk on the History of Treboeth.
On Wednesday October 22nd Professor Huw Bowen will lead ‘The First World War: A Study Day’ from 9 am – 4.30 pm in the Ocean Room at the National Waterfront Museum.
The new White Rock oral histories were deposited with West Glamorgan Archives Service on 1 October 2014. Tudor Price and John Ashley are seen with Archivist Katie Millien. Six hours of audio files and transcriptions are now available at WGAS as well as on the Oral Histories page of the White Rock Project pages.
