Artists Talks

British Council curator, Emma Gifford-Mead, will be with us on Thursday 3 April, 5.30pm at the YMCA, Swansea. Emma will be discussing her curatorial practice and her experiences curating the Jeremy Deller exhibition for the British Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale.

Maria Pask, Manfinger

You are invited to the preview of a new Glynn Vivian Offsite exhibition, on Thursday 10 April from 6pm at the Dylan Thomas Theatre. Commissioned by Glynn Vivian, Manfinger is a documentary filmed on location in Swansea by Welsh artist Maria Pask.  

Saturday Adult Classes: Share your craft skills with us and learn from each other in our Traditional Craft Drop-in on Saturday 5 April, 11am – 4pm at YMCA, Swansea. All craft makers and learners welcome.

Community Cafe: Join art historian and curator Ceri Thomas for the final talk looking at works from the Glynn Vivian Collection. Thursday 17 April, 5.30pm. No booking required, limited seating available.

The Adventures of Richard Glynn Vivian: Film Premiere: Join us on Saturday 12 April, 11am in Castle Square as our family workshop group present their animated story of the Gallery’s founder, Richard Glynn Vivian, on the Big Screen. Suitable for all ages.

Easter Holiday Workshops: Explore different textile art techniques in our hands-on family workshop on Wednesday 23 April, or join in with Storytelling Adventures with ’The Crowman’ on Thursday 24 April. For ages 4+. Workshops are free and take place 11am – 4pm at the YMCA.
