The community workshop will offer an opportunity to discuss and further develop history projects and research as part of the Connected Communities Project. The event will enable engagement between local history and community groups, heritage professionals, academics, researchers and student volunteers.
The workshop will include useful and practical sessions in planning and conducting local history projects and research. To include sessions on:
- Digitising photographic archives
- Using archives services and materials
- IT workshop on gathering research and presenting materials online
- Recording and using oral history
- Creating and gathering materials for digital stories
Speakers will include Huw Bowen (History and Classics, Swansea University, The Hafod Regeneration Project – Cu@Swansea), Beth Thomas (St Fagans, National History Museum) and Kim Collis (West Glamorgan Archives Service.) Please follow the link to access the full workshop programme.
